CELEBRATION UPDATE

Everyone plan on wearing red! It is Grammy's favorite color. And don't forget your electronic memory pages.
Thanks

HELLO!

Where is everyone?

Whew! Now we are feeling better. Wait! What happened to Dad's hair?

Feeling a little funny (queezy)!

Here we are with our long-lost, WWF wrestler and semi-pro football player, uncle! His name is Ned.

Mortensen's feeling funny!

A funny thing happened - mom and dad got new laptops and we all started feeling (and looking) funny.

Mew.s Baby

Since you were all posting "new arrivals" I thought I would do the same. One week old and averaging 49 mpg! A trip to Laguna next weekend and we will see if it can do better than that!

Baby Looks Like Daddy

So, we told you guys that yesterday we had our ultrasound and we are so excited. It was kind of hard to get a very good image of the baby because it was wiggling around so much. But, if you look really closely, I think you might agree that it shares a slight resemblance with its father. I couldn't be prouder of the little tyke. At this point, Sadie is just hoping that its not a girl...or else she says she'll try and send it back.
Dad and I just rode our bikes up Smithfield canyon. The leaves are beautiful.
Bundle Me is going to be on Martha Stewart on Thursday. I will find out the time and post it.

Wow, I'm setting a new record for posts

I can't believe that I have posted 3 times in 2 days. I am on a roll.
Sadie, you must get up really early. Your comment said 7am. Wow! We still haven't seen a picture of the new (Christian's) baby. I guess we really have to see it in action to appreciate all of its talents.
Hope we get to see many of you in the next couple of days.
Ashlie

One more!

Okay, so I had to add this one, too. This is Molly, Sadie, Noah, and all of their noses!

Just a few photos!

Hey everybody! I took some pictures with my new camera today. Just thought you all might want to see. Love ya'll.

Christian and Sadie: And Then There Were Three

Hey, Christian: Why don't you post some pics of the new member of your family. No, not the ultrasound pics. The ones of the new iPhone. Come on, how about a few snapshots of you and the little one, perhaps making a call, or surfing the web? Better yet, how about a video? Really, we are dying to get acquainted.

Welcome Nicole and MEW

It's nice to have you guys on...also, I have been checking the blog for a week and today is the first time there have been POSTS in a long time! What's going on? We're lacking. Maybe it's just that I'm the only one with enough free time to check the blog 5-6 times a day (or more)! So for nothing more than my own sanity...please, please feel free to post.

HAPPY BIRTHDYA ELLIE

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ELLIE
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

WE ALL LOVE YOU

Saturday

I just wanted to tell you all how much I love you and how proud of you I am. You are all so great. Thank you so much for all that you do. We are the most blessed family in the world.
Ryan and Chrissy, Josh and Lydia, Christian and Sadie, thanks for a wonderful day. It was so fun and Ryan and Chrissy thanks for the incredible dinner. It was great. Have a great day.
Hey everyone -- I just wanted to invite you to participate in the planning and delivery of the 90th birthday and 70th anniversay celebration which will be held in Bountiful on the 27th of October. I am requesting that each family submit a ppt slide from EACH PERSON in the family that contains a specific thought or memory of grammy and gramps that I can put together in a running slide show. I figured that most of us have powerpoint but if you don't. just give me the information in word or via email and I will take care of the rest. I thought to include a photo of each person, child, grandchild, great grandchild and those who bought into the family via marriage as well to add to each slide so if you have a current one, that would be terrific. I will need this within the next two weeks to get it put together by the 27th. THANKS in advance

This celebration will be an open house from 2 pm to 4 pm but those of us who are going to be in town will probably need to be there earlier to help with decorations--If someone knows of a caterer who would not charge significant body parts to put together a fingerfood type spread--that would be good to know. I have been tossing around the idea of just putting out COSTCO stuff as well but would entertain other ideas because this is not my forte.

So, 90 years of history---we could do some interesting stuff--please help me out with the planning. I need ideas!

You can send the slides to mewnv@cox.net or maryellen.west@phoenix.edu orget me at skype: maryellenwest or call- 702 271 6275.

I hope to see you all there!

At the "Corn Patch"...

Unfortunately, the picture with all of us didn't turn out...so here is the next best thing. Maybe CJ can photoshop Ryan into this one.

We had such a fun time on Saturday. Thanks Christian for getting us through the corn maze.

Finally...

It's about time GW signs on.

Its official

So, I guess we really are pregnant. We had our first doctors appointment today and we heard the baby's heartbeat. It was so exciting because it seems a little more real now.

Great picture!!

I love the picture of Ryan, but I would really like to see a photo of the newest addition to the Josh and Layne West family! Maybe I should send you a little soccer ball sticker for the window. (Sorry Josh, but you know that Owen and I will have a minivan soon.)

Okay, okay. Here is a picture. You all know i had facial hair at a young age, but you didn't know it was a dominant gene.

Little Ryan

Since Josh and Layne wouldn't put up a picture of Ryan, Christian and I thought we would. Maybe there's a reason why they didn't....

Wednesday, September 5, 2007

Ethan: I love your picture. Josh and Layne we missed you on Monday. Put a picture of Ryan on the blog.
Monday was so fun. Thanks everyone for coming. It is so fun to be with all of you. And especially the kids. They are all so cute. You are all great. How are all of your 72 hour kits? Do they need updating? I need to check ours. Love GS

In the land of Zion...

Well, I just wanted to give everyone the readers digest version of my first time at church in the land of Zion. First, sitting on the front row was the bishops WIVES. We are talking modern day polygamy! Testimony meeting consisted of some real tear jerkers, amongst the sound of six thousand kids running around. Well, we walked into Sunday school a bit late, and a volunteer reader was standing in the congregation to read the assigned scriptures. Talk about going above and beyond. Megan's relief society president really magnifies her calling, and told Megan she dressed up pretty for church. Funny that the other day she told Megan she looked like she was going to pop. The Relief society room looked very dressed up for the lesson today, but unfortunately we could not attend. But, something I didn't expect to see was a member of the Bishopric was walking back to the church from his house. We passed him on our way home. I guess we can't expect everybody to CTR.
